Google Cloud Powers Puffer UniFi's Real-Time Ethereum Infrastructure
Puffer Finance has partnered with Google Cloud to power Puffer UniFi's real-time Ethereum infrastructure. The collaboration will allow Puffer UniFi, a high-performance Ethereum execution stack, to deliver sub-second transaction processing and preconfirmations.
The integration of Google Cloud's gateway into Puffer Preconf, a preconfirmation service for Ethereum rollups, addresses a core limitation of base rollups, which are constrained by Ethereum's 12-second block times. Puffer Preconf provides near-instant execution preconfirmations, backed by restaked ETH and economic security.
This partnership makes Google Cloud one of the first major cloud infrastructure providers to operate within Ethereum's preconf and rollup ecosystem. As Pranav Mehrotra, APAC Technology Leader - New Frontiers at Google Cloud, stated, 'AI and agents are moving towards onchain payment operations. This creates demands on infrastructure that can enable speed and scalability.'
Puffer UniFi is designed to deliver real-time execution while remaining synchronously composable with Ethereum. With this integration, rollups can access Google Cloud's infrastructure for transaction processing and sub-second preconfirmations.
