Google Cloud Ranked Leader in Forrester's Wave, Australian Public Cloud Spend Nears $34 Billion
Google Cloud has been named a Leader in Forrester's Wave for Public Cloud Platforms, Q3 2026. This achievement comes on the back of its container, Kubernetes, serverless, and operations management tooling, where it received the highest possible score in the 'current offering' category.
The ranking was announced on September 16, 2026, and is significant because public cloud spending in Australia is expected to reach $33.6 billion for the year, up 17.9% from 2025, according to Gartner's 2026 Cloud Covered Report.
Forrester evaluated the current offerings of various providers, including Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, based on their container and Kubernetes services, serverless functions, and operations management capabilities. Google Cloud's strong performance in these areas earned it a top spot in the Wave.
