Google Commits $15 Billion to Finnish Data Center Expansion
Google has announced plans to invest €13 billion ($15 billion) in Finland between 2027 and 2028, expanding its data center and digital infrastructure in Hamina, Kajaani, Muhos, and Vaala.
The investment will include AI infrastructure, power, battery storage, and renewable energy projects, with a focus on responsible growth and sustainability.
Ruth Porat, President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google, said the investment 'underscores Google's commitment to grow our presence responsibly.'
