Google Ditches Euro Check Payments for AdSense Publishers

Google has quietly discontinued euro-denominated check payments for AdSense publishers, effective August 7, 2026. The change was announced eleven days after it took effect, leaving some publishers without a valid payout instrument during their monthly payment cycle.

The notice was added to the AdSense Help Center page in late August, but it appears that the change had already been implemented on August 7. According to the payment timeline published by YouTube, earnings from the previous month are finalized between the 7th and 12th, and payments are initiated between the 21st and 26th.

This means that publishers whose euro check method was silently invalidated on August 7 would have been without a valid payout instrument during their payment cycle. The public disclosure arrived two days before the threshold evaluation date, which is when Google determines whether to issue payments to publishers.
