Google Enters Premium Laptop Fray With $899 AI-Powered Googlebooks

Google has launched its latest bid to conquer the premium laptop market with Googlebooks, priced at $899. The new laptops are built around Gemini AI and offer tighter integration with Android phones.

The company combined elements of Android and ChromeOS for the new experience, said Sameer Samat, president of the Android Ecosystem at Google. He explained that some features were designed to challenge Apple and Microsoft in the AI PC race.

Google's move is seen as a direct competition with industry leaders Apple and Microsoft, who have dominated the market for years.
