Google Escapes Breakup Despite Monopoly Ruling
A federal judge has ruled against breaking up Google, despite finding that it operates an illegal monopoly in its online ad business.
This is the third time in the last year that a judge has refused to break up a major tech company, following similar decisions regarding Meta and its ownership of Instagram and WhatsApp.
The decision has frustrated liberal antitrust thinkers, who question why judges bother finding companies guilty if they don't take action to break them up.
