Google Executive Killed in Bike Accident as Family Blames City for Removing Bike Lanes
Regan Cole-Graham, a 36-year-old Google executive who was seven months pregnant, was killed in a bike accident on January 31. The driver, an 87-year-old man, struck her e-bike at the intersection of Pershing Drive and Manchester Avenue in Los Angeles' Playa del Rey neighborhood.
Cole-Graham's family is blaming the city for removing bike lanes from Pershing Drive, which they believe contributed to the tragic accident. The driver has not been charged with any crime.
The family's attorney, Brian Breiter, plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the city and claims that 'that protection, that area of safety was taken away, and we believe that was a critical factor.'
Cole-Graham was an e-bike user who loved spending time outdoors with her children. She worked as Consumer Marketing Lead at Google in Los Angeles since 2019 and had orchestrated several multi-million dollar partnerships.
