Google Expands AI-Powered Study Tools to Younger Students
Google has expanded its Gemini-powered study tools to younger students in Google Classroom. The move aims to provide AI-assisted learning support to students of all ages, including those in primary school.
The new features are available to schools that have enabled Gemini and related services through Google Workspace for Education. Students can access a dedicated Gemini tab in Classroom, which provides contextualized help, including study guides, practice quizzes, and flashcards.
Students with access to Gemini Notebook can also create interactive study resources using class materials. These resources include audio overviews, infographics, and visual learning materials.
The expansion is part of a broader rollout of AI features across Google's education products. The company has introduced a dedicated student hub in Gemini, bringing together learning tools such as study notebooks, flashcards, and practice quizzes.
