Google Expands AI-Powered Wardrobe Feature to iPhone Users
Google has expanded its AI-powered Wardrobe feature to iPhone users in the United States, India, and Brazil. The tool uses artificial intelligence to scan clothing visible in a user's photo library and organize those items into a digital closet for planning outfits.
The feature creates a Wardrobe section inside Collections, where detected clothing is sorted by category such as tops, bottoms, and jewelry. Users can browse through recovered pieces from older photos, combine items into outfits, and save the results to moodboards.
A virtual try-on option allows users to generate a preview of how selected pieces may look together, which can be saved or shared with friends. However, Google warns that this AI-generated preview should not be treated as an exact representation of fit, fabric, or color.
