Google Expands AI Professional Certificate with Vibe Coding Courses

Google has expanded its Google AI Professional Certificate program to include new courses on 'vibe coding,' which allows users to describe what they want in everyday language while AI handles the technical code.

The certificate, launched in February, has become the most popular generative AI certificate of all time on Coursera with over a million learners. Employers like Deloitte, Verizon, Lyft, and Walmart are using the course to train their teams.

Lately, users have been asking for deeper lessons on vibe coding, which reflects a broader trend with US search for vibe coding up 140% on average versus last year.

The new course helps learners plan, test, debug, and deploy apps without requiring any prior coding experience. One example of the impact of this training is Walmart truck driver Leo Garcia, who used an internal tool to design custom applications that optimized operations across several states.
