Google Expands Global Rollout of Immersive 3D Video Platform Google Beam
Google is expanding its immersive 3D video platform, Google Beam (formerly Project Starline), to new international markets. The platform will be shipped to enterprise customers across six key nations: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Japan. This move comes after a successful pilot with early corporate adopters like Netflix, Capital Group, and Bain & Company.
The expansion includes an ecosystem of 18 dedicated channel partners fully equipped to deploy and support the hardware. The flagship hardware experience arrives as the HP Dimension with Google Beam, built specifically for modern corporate environments. This device supports both Google Meet and Zoom, giving organizations flexibility for external client calls.
To make this technology accessible to smaller businesses, distributed teams, and startups, Google is partnering with flexible workspace operator Industrious to build the first-ever 'Beam extended network'. Starting in October, users can officially book and use HP Dimension units at select Industrious locations in major hubs. This includes Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, and Palo Alto.
