Google Expands Search Profiles to Publishers with 10,000 Followers
Google has expanded its Search profile feature to publishers and creators with as few as 10,000 followers across four supported social platforms. This is a significant reduction from the previous eligibility threshold and will allow more media brands and individual creators to claim verified presence on Google.
The update also introduces multi-brand management, enabling organizations to manage profiles for multiple publications through one login. This feature is particularly useful for groups with multiple vertical titles that need to maintain separate social footprints and profiles.
Search profiles serve as a controlled layer inside Google's ecosystem where publishers can consolidate articles, videos, social posts, and links. They can be accessed through knowledge panels, Discover, or a direct URL, giving users a clearer route from a brand search to recent work and verified social accounts.
