Google Extends Gemini Deal Through November 15
Google has extended its OneGov deal for Gemini, an artificial intelligence platform, until November 15. The original agreement was set to expire on Wednesday but will now last an additional month.
The extension includes Gemini, Google's AI platform and tools, as well as FedRAMP High authorized Google Cloud Platform products. The cost savings for agencies remain unchanged at $0.47 per agency for one year for Gemini for Government, with a 20% discount on list prices for first-party cloud services.
This extension follows recent agreements between GSA and other AI technology companies, including Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's ChatGPT models. OneGov has achieved nearly $1.7 billion in cost savings, with over $1.4 billion attributed to AI tools used by about 3.5 million federal employees.
