Google Fitbit Edge Pricing and Specs Revealed
Google is reportedly preparing to launch a new fitness tracker called the Fitbit Edge, following several recent reports. The device first surfaced after the Pixel 11 series announcement but was not officially discussed by Google at the time.
According to a new report, the Fitbit Edge is expected to be priced at €179 in Europe and £159 in the UK, which likely translates to around $180 in the US. This positions the device between the Fitbit Air, priced at $99, and the Pixel Watch 5, starting at $399.
The Fitbit Edge features a 1.34-inch rectangular AMOLED display with always-on mode, runs on Fitbit OS, and is compatible with Android 11+ and iOS 16.4+. It includes connectivity options like Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS, along with a range of sensors for health monitoring, including heart rate, SpO2, ECG, and more. The device boasts a 7-day battery life, 5ATM and IP68 durability, and a lightweight design with an aluminum case and silicone strap.
The Fitbit Edge will offer extensive health tracking features, including steps, distance, calories, heart rate, SpO2, ECG, wrist temperature, menstrual cycle, VO2 Max, and AFib. It will also support new blood pressure and insulin resistance trends, previously introduced on the Pixel Watch. The device will track at least 40 sports and exercises with automatic tracking capabilities. No release date has been announced yet.
