Google Fitbit Edge Spotted Ahead of Launch
The Google Fitbit Edge is a new wearable device that has been spotted in online marketing images and FCC filings. The device appears to be a smaller fitness tracker with a display, but it will not run Wear OS like other smartwatches from Google.
According to the images, the Fitbit Edge will have up to 7 days of battery life, show information from Google Maps, allow users to control media and music, and attach to Find My Phone for tracking. It will also have built-in GPS, elevation tracking, and automatic activity recognition.
The device is expected to launch soon, but no official release date or price has been announced. Retail listings suggest that the Fitbit Edge may be priced between $150 and $200, which is higher than the $99 Fitbit Air but lower than the $399 Pixel Watch 5.
