Google Gemini Cuts Model Access for Free Users, Boosts Paying Tiers

Google Gemini is changing its model access policy for free and paid users starting October 9. Free users will no longer have access to Flash and Pro models, leaving them with only Flash-Lite.

Ai Plus subscribers will lose access to the Pro model but keep Flash-Lite and Flash. Ai Pro and Ai Ultra users are unaffected and get added Deep Think features.

Deep Think was previously exclusive to the priciest plans, but now it's available for $19.99 a month with the Ai Pro subscription. This makes the plan look more attractive to users who were on the fence about upgrading from Ai Plus.
