Google Gemini Hits 1B Monthly Users, 63% Use Voice Interaction
Google's Gemini app has reached an impressive milestone of 1 billion monthly users. According to recent data, this represents a significant increase from the 400 million+ users reported in May 2025. The company also revealed that 63% of these users now utilize voice interaction with the app.
In terms of usage patterns, Google shared some interesting statistics. For instance, about one in five interactions on Gemini Live involve more than just voice, using live camera feeds or screen sharing. Additionally, 38% of school requests include attachments, while the app generates over 150 million images daily. iOS accounts for more than 100 million active users.
Google's task automation feature, which allows users to automate tasks across over 40 popular apps, is also gaining traction. The company claims that this capability is expanding from a few apps to many more, although it remains limited to the US and Korea for now.
