Google Gemini Integrates 14 New Apps, But Availability Varies

Google has added 14 new connected apps to its Gemini service, including popular names like Adobe, Peloton, and Experian. These apps can be integrated with Gemini to enable various tasks, such as editing photos in Photoshop or checking credit scores.

The availability of these apps varies by location. While users outside the US have access to only three apps - Adobe, monday.com, and Wispr AI - all 14 are available in the US. However, even for users with access to more apps, there is a catch: they can only use them if they are at least 18 years old and fluent in English.

Google uses information from these connected apps to improve Gemini's performance and human reviewers may examine some of this data. Importantly, disconnecting an app or deleting data does not delete any associated data stored in Gemini Apps Activity. To remove everything, users must also delete matching entries in their Gemini activity and with the app provider.
