Google Hikes Pixel 10a Price to $599 in the US
Google has raised the price of its Pixel 10a by $100 in the US, bringing the base 128GB model to $599 from its original $499 launch price. The 256GB version is now priced at $699. The change is already reflected on the Google Store, Amazon, and Best Buy.
The price increase follows a similar move earlier this year when Google launched the Pixel 11 series, which saw a $100 hike compared to the previous generation. The Pixel 10a had remained unchanged until now, making it the most affordable option in the Pixel lineup. This latest adjustment narrows that gap, especially as other Android manufacturers, like Samsung, have also raised prices.
Despite the higher cost, the hardware itself has not been updated. The Pixel 10a still uses the Tensor G4 processor, introduced with the Pixel 9 series in 2024, and shares many features with the Pixel 9a. The only notable upgrades in this model are improved wireless charging and satellite connectivity.
Before purchasing, buyers should confirm the current pricing at their preferred retailer, consider whether the 256GB model is worth the extra cost, and weigh the differences between the Pixel 10a and the older Pixel 9a. Those seeking the most affordable Pixel should carefully evaluate whether the $100 increase justifies the phone’s two-year-old processor.
