Google has quietly raised the price of its budget-friendly Pixel 10a smartphone by $100, making it now $599. The new price is live on Google's online store for the US.

This move follows Samsung's recent price hike announcement for its smartphones, and component prices have been increasing steadily. As a result, it's possible that more device manufacturers may follow suit with their own price hikes in the coming weeks and months.

The Pixel 10a was previously priced at $499, but the updated pricing reflects the rising costs of components used in smartphone production. It remains to be seen if Google will also increase prices for its higher-end Pixel 11 family in the future.
