Google Hikes Prices of Nest Devices Amid Rising Component Costs

Google has raised the prices of its Nest smart home cameras and doorbells in the US, citing rising component costs. The price hike is effective August 31, with the most significant increase seen on the Google TV streamer.

The streaming device, a successor to the Chromecast with Google TV, now retails for $150, up from its original price of $100. This represents a 50% price increase.

All Nest smart home cameras and doorbells have also seen their prices rise, with some devices increasing by as much as $20. The Google Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) now costs $199.99, while the Nest Doorbell (wired, 3rd gen) is priced at $199.99.
