Google Home App Gets Battery-Saving Update and Camera Fixes

Google has updated its Home app to improve battery life and camera functionality. One of the key changes is the addition of a more battery-efficient widget that pauses background polling when a phone's screen turns off or locks, extending battery life without sacrificing convenience.

The same logic has been applied to camera hardware paired with the Home app, addressing issues related to live streaming and playback. The update also resolves crashes reported by some users during startup on Google TV.

Additionally, the update strengthens multi-account switching within the Home app, reduces 'Home not found' errors, and streamlines smart device setup and notification management.
