Google Home App Gets Ringtone Previews Ahead of Holiday Season
Google has updated its Home app to make it easier for users to choose their Nest Doorbell ringtones. One of the new features is audio previews, which allow users to hear a ringtone before assigning it to their doorbell. This feature is available in both standard chimes and limited-time holiday themes.
The update comes just in time for the holidays, with Google making Oktoberfest-themed ringtones currently available in the app. However, users will still need to wait for other seasonal offerings, including Halloween tones, which have not yet been activated.
To access the audio previews, users can find the option within the Doorbell theme menu under Doorbell camera settings in the Google Home app. This feature is a welcome addition for users who want to add some personality to their doorbells without having to physically stand next to them.
