Google Home Automations Bugged by TVs

Google Home users have been experiencing issues with automations tied to TVs not working as expected. The problem, which has been reported on Reddit's Google Home sub, involves TV-based automations failing to trigger when a starter event occurs.

The issue specifically affects TCL models, but it's unclear if other brands are also impacted. When users attempt to use events like powering their TV on or off to activate an automation, Google Home doesn't seem to recognize the starter event.

Google has acknowledged the reports and is currently investigating the issue. In a statement, the company said: 'We're currently investigating an issue with TV-based automations. We'll circle back as soon as we have an update.'

The problem persists despite Google's assurance that they are working on a fix. This latest glitch follows a recent issue with alarms and adding items to Keep lists.
