Google Home Update Brings Improved Voice Commands and Smart Home Functionality
A new update has rolled out for Google Home devices, bringing various improvements to voice commands and smart home functionality.
The update includes better support for the 'Find My Phone' voice command on Gemini speakers, which is expected to have quality and reliability improvements. This feature allows users to locate their phone using voice commands.
In addition to this improvement, the update also filters out background noise and voices in voice commands, reduces latency, and supports multilingual households.
The Google Home app itself has seen updates to smart home functionality, including turning off lights when the brightness slider is dragged down to zero, improving camera and doorbell tiles, and reducing Matter switches being incorrectly shown as offline.
