Google Integrates Venmo into Google Play Store

Google has added Venmo as a new payment method for users to pay for apps and games on Google Play. This move aims to provide more flexibility at checkout, allowing users to link their Venmo account to the Google Play Store as an additional payment option.

This integration is exclusive to US residents, given that Venmo's services are only available in the US. Users can now link their Venmo balance or a linked payment method for purchases on the store.

The addition of Venmo brings the total number of third-party payment options on Google Play to four, including debit and credit cards, Cash App, and PayPal. This new option allows regular Venmo users to spend their accumulated balance without sharing personal payment details with Google.
