Google Invests $10 Million in Nevada Energy Affordability
Google has announced an $8-figure investment in energy affordability in Nevada. The tech giant will provide $10 million through its Energy Impact Fund, with half going to the Nevada Clean Energy Fund and the other half distributed later this year.
The investment is part of Google's effort to be a good neighbor in Nevada, where it has operated since 2019. The company says its presence benefits Nevadans directly.
Google's $5 million contribution to the Nevada Clean Energy Fund will establish the Residential Energy Upgrade Program (RE-UP) and provide no-cost energy upgrades, including insulation, window replacements, and air conditioning system replacements, to low- and moderate-income households.
