Google Launches Googlebook Android Laptops Starting at $899
Google has launched its new line of Android-powered laptops called Googlebook. The devices will be available in five models, ranging from $899 to $1,299, and will compete with Apple's MacBook Air and Windows PCs.
The Googlebook OS is built on the Android stack with ChromeOS desktop foundations, featuring Google's Material 3 Expressive interface. A quick-settings panel and a Files-based file system keep the experience close to Android. One of the unique features of Googlebook is the Glowbar LED strip along the lid that animates in Google's colors when you open or close it.
The five models include Intel Core Ultra (3rd-gen) and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite variants, with varying specs such as 14-inch and 15.3-inch OLED touchscreens, up to 16 hours of battery life, and a range of RAM and storage options.
