Google Lets Users View Combined Traffic from Multiple Countries
Google has updated its Search Console Performance report to allow users to select and analyze traffic from multiple countries simultaneously. Previously, the tool only allowed viewing data for one country at a time or comparing two countries side by side. This change simplifies the process for website owners and marketers who operate in multiple markets, enabling them to see combined traffic figures in one place.
The update was announced on LinkedIn by Google Search Central, which shared a screenshot of the revised interface. The post highlighted that users can now tick multiple countries in the Performance report's Country dialog, though it did not specify a rollout schedule or clarify whether similar changes apply to device types. The documentation for advanced filtering still refers to comparing only two items at a time, leaving some uncertainty about the scope of the update.
This change is part of a series of recent updates to the Performance report. In September 2026, Google split the Web search type into Text-based and Multimodal. Earlier in 2026, the company introduced a generative AI performance report and fixed a logging error that had been inflating impressions since May 2025. Despite these improvements, some questions remain, such as how metrics like click-through rate and average position are derived for merged country selections and whether the new feature will be available to all users soon.
The ability to group countries is particularly valuable for marketers who need to report on regional performance. For example, teams managing campaigns in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland or Indonesia and Thailand can now treat these groups as single units within the interface. However, existing limits, such as the 1,000-row cap on tables and privacy filtering, still apply.
