Google Local Services Ads Transition Sparks Dashboard Disruption
Google Local Services advertisers are facing changes as they transition to Performance Max campaigns with pay-per-lead goals. The first phase of this migration began in August 2026 and affects selected home and shop front service advertisers in the United States.
The standalone dashboard for Local Services Ads will stop working on transition day, and campaign performance may take up to two weeks to stabilize. Advertisers can expect three emails and one redirect as they go through this process: an advance notification email 14 days before the migration date, warning banners in the existing dashboard over the same period, a final reminder email seven days later, and a confirmation message once the account has moved.
On transition day, access to the original Local Services Ads dashboard will end, redirecting users to the campaign overview inside Google Ads. Previous performance reports will no longer be accessible after migration, but advertisers can export them beforehand within the 14-day window provided.
