Disney Demolishes Again: New Monstropolis Columns Revealed

The redevelopment of Disney's Hollywood Studios is taking shape as construction continues on the Monstropolis area. The new entrance columns for Monstropolis have been revealed once again, marking the second time they've been visible since the previous version was demolished.

Crews tore down the original Muppets Courtyard entrance and constructed four new columns before removing them to install a fresh set of columns. These will eventually be covered in faux brickwork similar to The Glob theater, as indicated by concept art.

Meanwhile, work is underway to remove scaffolding from the former Gonzo's Royal Flush restrooms and PizzeRizzo. The restrooms building has already received monster-themed elements this summer, while PizzeRizzo will be rebranded as Archie's Scare Pig Pizza in 2027.
