Google Maps' Ask Maps Now Lets You Order Food and More with a Simple Ask

Google Maps' Ask Maps feature has been upgraded to include agentic capabilities. This means users can now perform complex tasks, such as ordering food or booking hotels, by simply asking. For instance, you can ask for recommendations on restaurants along your route that serve a specific type of cuisine.

The feature also allows users to personalize their search results using data from other Google services, like Calendar and Gmail. This means Ask Maps will take into account your upcoming events or reservations when providing suggestions.

Personal Intelligence is the key to this new capability. By connecting Ask Maps to your Gmail, you can allow it to factor in your existing plans and provide more relevant results. However, this connection is off by default, giving users control over how much data they share with Google.
