Google Maps Gets More Capabilities: Ordering Takeout, Booking Hotels, and Planning Events
Google has been expanding its capabilities in various areas, and the latest update focuses on making tasks easier for users. The tech giant's Google Maps can now order takeout from local restaurants, choose hotels, and plan events. This feature is made possible through partnerships with companies like Uber Eats and Hotel Tonight.
The ability to order food directly from Google Maps was announced last year, but it has now been integrated into the app in more locations worldwide. Users can simply search for a restaurant, select their desired takeout option, and place an order without having to leave the app.
Another new feature allows users to book hotels through Google Maps. This integration is currently available in several cities across the United States, with more locations expected to follow soon.
The addition of event planning capabilities completes this update. Users can now find and plan events such as concerts, festivals, or sporting events right within the app.
