Google Maps Search Bug Halts Browser Queries

Users of Google Maps are reporting an issue where general searches fail to complete, resulting in an error message suggesting that the search was misspelled.

The problem is isolated to the browser version of Google Maps and does not affect the mobile app. When searching for nonspecific terms like 'restaurants,' users receive an error stating that the search couldn't find the location, prompting them to check their spelling or add a city, state, or zip code.

Some affected users have reported being able to complete searches in incognito mode on desktop, but others claim this doesn't resolve the issue. The glitch appears to occur across various browsers and not just Chrome.
