Google Messages has finally rolled out Chat Themes to its users, bringing customizable bubbles and backgrounds to chats.

The feature was first hinted at in a community post by Google, which detailed the new functionality and how it works.

According to Google, Chat Themes can be customized with user-selected photos for backgrounds, curated wallpapers from Google, or colors that match the chosen background.

The themes are only visible on the user's device and do not affect other parties in the chat.
