Billy Joel, the legendary musician known as 'The Piano Man,' has been misidentified as deceased by Google's search results. This error occurred on Thursday and caused concern among his fans after he announced in February that he had undergone brain surgery due to a diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus, also known as 'water on the brain.'

The 77-year-old musician confirmed at the time that he was still alive and focused on his recovery. Despite this, some fans may have searched for updates and seen an information box in Google's search results stating that Joel had passed away.

Billy's publicist, Claire Mercuri, quickly released a statement to clarify the situation: 'Billy's not dead. I was just emailing with him.'
