Google Offers Educators Chance to Earn College Credits with AI Training
Google has launched a new initiative to help educators develop their AI skills. The Google AI Educator Series offers bite-sized, 15-minute training sessions that can be completed at any time. These sessions are now accompanied by the opportunity to earn undergraduate and graduate college credits.
Through partnerships with College Unbound and Dominican University, participants in the series can earn undergraduate credits at no cost starting later this year. Educators who complete the program can also turn their new AI skills into fully accredited graduate-level college credits thanks to a partnership with ISTE and Dominican University.
In addition to these credit opportunities, educators in Illinois can earn hours toward their license renewal through the Illinois Digital Educators Alliance. To take advantage of this opportunity, educators can join the Google AI Educator Series Badge-a-thon on September 19. This flexible, drop-in festival will feature live educator demos and provide a chance to earn ISTE-aligned digital badges.
