Google One Launches with Cheaper Storage Plans Starting at $1.99
Google has officially launched Google One, its revamped online storage service, after announcing it in May. The new service offers cheaper storage plans for users in the U.S., and is now open to sign-ups nationwide. In addition to the lower prices, Google One memberships also come with perks such as 24/7 access to experts who can help troubleshoot issues.
The most notable change from Google Drive is the reduced pricing of storage plans. For $1.99 per month, users can get 100GB of storage, while 200GB costs $2.99 and 2TB is available for $9.99 - a significant upgrade from the previous 1TB limit.
Google has also stated that additional benefits, such as credits on Google Play and deals on hotels found through Google Search, will be rolled out in the future. The company plans to expand Google One to other countries 'over the next few weeks.'
