Alphabet Inc.'s Google has expanded its free AI video creation tool to everyone. Users can now create high-definition (HD) videos without professional editing skills or a large budget, thanks to the integration of Gemini Omni 1.1 in Google Vids.
The new controls give creators more control over their videos, from the initial idea to the final version. Creators can extend scenes while keeping the visuals, lighting, characters, and surroundings consistent.
Users can also choose the exact duration of generated clips so they align with their story and voiceover. This feature is useful for creating promotional videos, community announcements, product launches, and more.
Google has added AI transparency to its video creation tool by embedding an imperceptible SynthID digital watermark into each clip. This allows viewers to verify that the content was generated using AI.
Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite text-to-speech will soon be available in Google Vids, allowing users to turn scripts into natural-sounding voiceovers in over 100 languages.
