Google.org Aims to Boost AI Readiness in US Higher Education Institutions
Google.org has announced its support for three initiatives aimed at expanding AI readiness in US higher education. The programs focus on educator training, career-connected learning, and technology-enabled planning at universities and community colleges.
The Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU) is working with the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities to integrate Grow with Google resources and AI-based lessons into its Urban Adult Learner Institute. Educators and advisers across 30 universities will test practical approaches intended to improve career guidance and support adult learners.
A second USU initiative will examine how AI can enhance community-based, career-focused learning. Over 15 months, the organisation plans to analyse 10 existing institutional models, publish case studies, and establish a working group to develop approaches that other universities in the USA can adapt.
