Google Patches Critical Chrome Vulnerabilities Within 48 Hours
Google has released three critical Chrome memory fixes within a 48-hour period to address buffer overflow and use-after-free security issues.
The vulnerabilities, identified as CVE-2026-76034, CVE-2026-76036, and CVE-2026-76017, were found by Google's own vulnerability security team and patched in the latest Chrome updates.
According to Google's technical program manager, Daniel Yip, critical memory vulnerabilities are being discovered at an alarming rate, with bounty hunters using AI tools to find them before less conscientious hackers can exploit them for malicious purposes.
The Chrome updates bring the browser to version 151.0.7922.173/.174 and should be downloaded and activated promptly to ensure security.
