Google Photos' Ask Photos Tool Gets Map View Upgrade

Google is working on a new feature for its Ask Photos tool in Google Photos. This feature, which has been spotted in version v7.89.0.966319819 of the app, will allow users to view search results overlaid on a map if they have geolocation data in their metadata.

The current implementation of Ask Photos displays images and videos related to a specific location, but with this new feature, users can zoom in or tap on clusters of images to see more photos from that location. This could make it easier for users to browse through vacation photos, for example.

This is not the first map view available in Google Photos - a similar feature already exists within the 'Collections' tab. However, bringing this feature directly to Ask Photos could simplify things for many users, and make it more intuitive to find specific photos.
