Google Photos Bug Hits Users, Blocks Editing and Sharing

A bug in Google Photos is preventing users from sharing, editing, and deleting images. The issue was reported by multiple users on Reddit and confirmed by Android Authority. Users who crop or rotate a photo in the editor find that the buttons for Share, Edit, Add to, and Trash become unresponsive.

The problem affects users of various Google Pixel phones, including the Pixel 8, 9, 10, and 11 series, as well as at least one Samsung device. A spokesperson for Google acknowledged the issue and suggested two temporary workarounds: saving future edits as separate copies or deleting/sharing edited photos through the website.

Google's Photos team is working on a fix, which will be rolled out 'ASAP.'
