Google Photos Clears 10GB of Storage Space with 'Free up Space' Feature

Judy Sanhz, a consumer technology writer, recently used Google Photos' 'Free up space on this device' feature to clear storage space on her phone. Her phone was 84% full due to pictures and videos.

After tapping the feature name, it showed how much space would be cleaned up, which in her case was 10GB. She made sure all her files were backed up before proceeding with the cleanup.

The process took some time, but after it finished, Judy's phone storage went from 84% full to 77%. Google Photos confirmed that nearly 10GB of space had been freed up.
