Google Photos Drag-to-Select Feature Breaks for Some Users
Google Photos users have reported that the feature to drag and select multiple photos has stopped working for some of them. This feature, which allows users to long-press a photo to start multi-selecting, then drag their finger across the grid to pick multiple photos at once, is no longer functioning as intended.
The issue affects Pixel, Galaxy, and OnePlus phones, but strangely, it does not appear on tablets or iPhones running Google Photos. The problem seems to be an accidental bug rather than a deliberate design change by Google.
Google has yet to comment on the matter, and users are left wondering why this feature is no longer working for them. The article suggests that this is another example of Google's recent trend of shipping small regressions, or tiny things breaking quietly without explanation.
