Google Photos Editing Bug Crashes App, Workarounds Available

Google Photos has been plagued by an editing bug that prevents users from sharing or saving edited images. The issue was first reported over the weekend, and Google has confirmed that a fix is on the way.

The problem seems to be with the app's functionality after edits are complete. Users can make changes to their photos, but once they're done, the buttons beneath the image no longer work, making it impossible to delete, share, or edit further.

Google has provided two official workarounds for the issue: using 'Save as Copy' when saving new edits, and sharing images through the desktop version of Google Photos. However, users are also advised that they can use other editing apps to avoid the problem altogether.
