Google Photos iOS Update Fails to Bring Back Perspective Correction
The latest update to Google Photos on iOS has brought several changes to its photo editor, but one highly-anticipated feature is still missing. The 'Perspective Correction' tool, which automatically corrects photos of objects taken at an angle, was removed in July 2025 and had yet to return in the iOS version.
This contrasts with Android users, who saw the feature's return around December 2025. The new photo editor for iOS has integrated existing editing tools with AI features such as 'Magic Editor', but the redesigned UI still lacks the much-desired Perspective Correction tool.
While some may be disappointed by its absence in the latest update, Google Photos' developers have not ruled out the possibility of bringing it back in the future.
