Google Photos Partners with Gemini Spark to Unleash AI-Powered Photo Management
Google Photos and Gemini Spark have partnered to allow users to manage their photo libraries using AI-powered tasks.
The integration enables subscribers of Google AI Pro and Ultra to use prompts to execute complex tasks, such as searching, organizing, and curating photos, editing, enhancing or stylizing images, generating summaries of events, extracting text from images, creating visual stories, and running workflows across connected apps using information from photos.
According to Shimrit Ben-Yair, Google Photos Lead, users can now ask Gemini Spark to complete a combination of actions in a single task, such as finding vacation selfies, erasing the background crowds, centering themselves in every shot, and adding them to a new album.
The functionality is currently only available in English via the Gemini mobile app, for subscribers located in the United States who have Google AI Pro or Ultra subscriptions. The integration will be made available to all users over the next few weeks, according to Google.
