Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Tensor G6 Falters in Leaked CPU Benchmarks
The Google Pixel 11 Pro XL, set to hit store shelves on August 20, has been found wanting in leaked CPU benchmarks. According to Geekbench listings, the Tensor G6 CPU inside this new flagship delivers solid performance upgrades over its predecessor, but falls short of rival devices.
Specifically, the Tensor G6 achieves a single-core score of 2,293 and a multi-core score of 7,108 on Geekbench 7. This represents around a 20% performance boost compared to the Pixel 10 Pro XL's Tensor G5, which scored 2,010 and 5,923 respectively.
However, when pitted against Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, the Tensor G6 is left in the dust. The S26 Ultra scores a whopping 3,082 and 10,381 on the same benchmark, making it up to 40% more powerful than the Pixel 11 Pro XL.
The numbers indicate that Google's Tensor G6 is about a generation behind current flagship phones, with its CPU performance sitting between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Elite - or right on par with MediaTek's Dimensity 9400. Qualcomm is set to release the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro next month, further exacerbating Google's performance woes.
