Google Pixel Tag Brings Precision Tracking to Android

Google has finally entered the Bluetooth tracker market with its Pixel Tag, which is compatible with any Android phone. The device uses ultrawideband technology to enable precise location tracking within a few feet.

The Pixel Tag is not the first Bluetooth tracker that supports ultrawideband on Android's Find Hub network; Motorola's Moto Tag 2 was announced in January and costs $30, with a pack of four going for $100. However, the Pixel Tag has a key fob slot and a built-in button to locate your phone.

One major difference between the Pixel Tag and other Bluetooth trackers is its availability; it will not be available until November, although you can sign up for notifications on the Google Store's product page. When it does launch, the Pixel Tag will cost $30 with a pack of four costing $100.
